Dark Owl Wisdom – Finding Answers In The Shadows

Embrace The Wisdom Of The Dark Owl
Dark Owl Wisdom by Claudia H. Blanton

Wisdom can be found in unexpected places, most often those dark corners within ourselves we are not willing to face. The owl, a symbol of knowledge and wisdom asks us to look closer at these aspects of your life.

As we are surrounded by the gentle awareness and guidance of the Universe, we are told to pay attention to the symbolism that shows up repeatedly into our experience. If the dark owl has been making its way into your life, your need to examine the wisdom in the shadows of self, has become a  necessity. Hidden away answers in aspects, you tend to ignore, are calling for your attention. Do not miss the opportunity to learn from that prompting, as the answers to a question you had, lies right there.

Turning Dreams Into Goals – 3 Tips

fa2a867ee58540395b0823fdb9bff326

One way to turn your dreams into goals and then into reality is by developing your personal set of success principles.

Abundant living requires you to do things differently than those whom are stuck in whatever routine that keeps them from succeeding. Having clear principles that are geared to success, and that give you actions you can follow along, measurable actions, will turn your dreams of abundant living into reality.

1. Attend your vibration first.

Your state of mind is the most important asset and most important tool to create abundance. Get into a mindset that combines gratitude, with optimism and determination. A willingness to be thankful for what you have – and the lessons you learned. A knowing that, there are opportunities for those who are willing to look for them, and that failure are only lessons in disguise, and last, making a true commitment to doing whatever it takes to get to where you want to be.

2. Action plan

Compile a list of small daily actions that you can take toward your goal. The key word in this step is small. A small action does not take much time, but if stacked and combined with other small actions, the momentum you are beginning to create will carry you toward your goals.

3. Commit.

Make yourself a promise, a vow if you will and thoroughly commit to the road you have planned on taken. Only a intense commitment to not stop, to adjust steps if needed, but to not stop, no matter what the world throws at you will carry you through to success. You can not and will not succeed without a strong commitment to your goals. Write this commitment on a piece of paper. Read it daily, at least once a day.

These three steps are only the beginning, but they will set you on the right direction toward the path of abundance. Start today. Start now. Your point of power is in this moment.

Being Of Service

Being of Service

Today, ask yourself and the Universe this question:

“How can I be off service today?”

I always smirked at this sentence, because I did not understand it. Being of service does not mean, giving yourself and all of what you have to benefit others, in an act of self-sacrifice. Being of service is actually bringing and creating value. If you solve a problem, issue, question or can give insight from a different point of view someone might have never seen before, you are being of service. The higher the quality your “being of service” is, the more value you bring to the world and in return you will receive value – may it be through connection, or in best case scenarios, monetary compensation. If you can find a way to make “Being Of Service” your job, combined with your inner most passion, nothing – and I mean nothing – is impossible.

Take A Chance – Be Who You Are

Being a part of an “alternative” faith (meaning not one of the big 3 book religions) means taken a chance to be not accepted. I have tried – and failed – a few times to distance myself from that essential part of me, the practice of Witchcraft, the religion Paganism, the connection to my Matron, Hecate.

There are have been many reason for that – love, trying to fit in, being mad at some of the organized parts of the religion, but the Craft and my Goddess always calls me back. When I arrive at home, I am at ease. Simply because, as a Pagan Witch I am authentic.

Being one’s true self – no matter what other people might think about the label or the religion is important. It took my husband a long time to accept that I can not live in the closet. Now I can’t get him to stop asking to read for him, or create change when needed.

I stuck to my essential self, a big chance to take, when the love of your life is on the line. At the end, authenticity and unconditional love won.

Everyone who knows me knows of my path, the reason for it, is because it is important to me not to hide. Sometimes that leaves to strange questions or stares, but I really do not care so much about the opinion of others that it will make me change. I welcome discussions, sure, after all we learn via dialogue, but that won’t change who I am as a practicing Witch.

This means that somehow though I have to balance my mundane job of being a Writer (okay there is nothing mundane about it, just bare with me for a moment), and the fact that I am a Witch. Should I become famous and achieve my goals of making bestseller lists, and create scripts for some kind of blockbuster, do I want to be known as the odd one out, by being open, by writing openly about my path?

The other option would be to not be open, to stop writing about what I believe in. For me, who has an opinion about everything, and has a way to big of a mouth to not speak my mind, that is really not an option.

So I am taking a chance. I work on both of my blogs, just like I work on both of the most important, most defining aspects of my life – I am a Writer, I am a Witch.

Shared Lucid Dreaming – Is It Possible?

lucid-dreams-dream

I have just recently heard about shared lucid dreaming.

As a lucid dreamer myself, I have never deliberately shared a dream. While I have found myself in my daughters dreams before, it was not a deliberate attempt to enter that space. Just like in our day to day linked connection of shared thoughts, it “just happened”, there is no prying, just an awareness of each others presence and our link, the same perceptive link I share with my husband. We are tuned in the same “channel”, if you will.

So lets imagine that prior consent has been given. Is shared lucid dreaming possible?

If psychic links are possible, either through a personal connection or through deliberate focus, such as during a reading, then lucid dreaming would be only an extension of that, and therefore possible. At the same time, the deliberate focus is next to impossible in dream state, at least in my experience, where the dreamer tends to be passenger, the observer, rather then the active director of the occurrences.

Considering that any type of dreaming entails messages, it is also a question in my mind, if that is even wise. During the time where our conscious mind should be out of the way, should we consciously apply a focus to another act? I see it wiser to connect with another during a dream/wake state, such as a trance during our waking hours. This aspect of connection on the spiritual plane leaves our sleeping time to exactly its purpose – rest.

Have you experienced lucid dreaming? What are your thoughts on shared lucid dreaming?

Tell A Tale

What tale do you tell yourself?
People are story tellers, we always imagined, embellished, shared and constructed stories. Some withstood the attempts to quiet them, those stories of power, of the outcast, of deep wisdom and off the land.
Witches are story tellers too. We weave our truths into the magick we create, for ourselves and for others. Us magick storytellers, are the Keepers of the truth, and the misterious, sharing them with our spoken and written words, our actions, our movements, rituals and our dance.
But in this midst of story telling, we sometimes forgot ourselves. What stories do we weave about our own lives? Are those stories that tell about our power, or of our lack? Do they enhance us or tear us down?
It is time that we pay attention to them, take control of them, and once again shape them into something mystically beautiful. For that is what we are, the creators and shapers of our own story.

Welcome! Time For A Change!

Welcome to the new Shrine of Hecate Blog.

I have been in the process of relocating my blogs to wordpress, because we have outgrown Blogger, and this platform can grow with us, as we expand together.

This will be the new location for the blog formally known as http://hecates-corner.blogspot.com

This new Shrine of Hecate blog will contain regular updates about Shrine activities, teachings related to Witchcraft, Wicca, The Correllian Nativist Tradition (to which the Shrine belongs to), as well as posts that are linked to the Pagan Blog Projects 2014, and at least three times weekly a Daily Prompt post.

To keep an archive of our former posts, I will keep the blogspot blog open, but no longer active.

Wishing you all the best 2014 you can hope for!
